Kris "Mold Dog" Anderson is the founder and President of K.G. ANDERSON, a Maine consulting engineering firm since 2002, which offers industrial, commercial, healthcare, and residential customers independent assistance regarding building energy, HVAC design and diagnostics, envelope design and forensics, retro-commissioning, and indoor air quality. Kris has a diverse background in the building and construction industry since 1982.
Kris' professional experience includes: Energy Services Engineer and Building Diagnostic Services Program Manager for Central Maine Power Company, where he addressed the technical concerns of CMP’s commercial and industrial customers regarding their energy consumption, energy and production efficiency, building systems design and operation, and indoor environmental quality. He also has been a Plant Manager and Engineer for Stinson Seafood Company, Senior Facility Engineer for Bath Iron Works, as well as Mechanical and Electrical Construction Superintendent, Estimator, HVAC and airfield lighting designer, and Project Manager on a variety of commercial and industrial construction projects in Saudi Arabia.
Kris holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University, and is a Maine Licensed Professional Engineer, Certified Indoor Air Quality Professional, and Certified Energy Manager. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Building Commissioning Association (BCA), the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), and Member of the Maine Indoor Air Quality Council (MIAQC).
Kris is a frequent speaker at conferences on the subjects of indoor air quality, HVAC, building forensics & science, and retro-commissioning.
Kris is also a Volunteer Firefighter for his local fire department.
